BECOME A MEMBER

ADHD Europe is dedicated to advancing the rights of patients on every level within Europe, and as such, welcomes individuals who wish to become members. All members must be independent of governments, political parties, and commercial interests, and accept the Articles of Association and evidence-based treatments for ADHD. Everyone engaged in ADHD Europe must act professionally and independently, with neutrality towards religion, religious beliefs, and political allegiances.

Please read the following member criteria before applying to ADHD Europe for membership to join our community to be part of the European ADHD Voice. Memberships are also open to organisations and individuals outside of Europe. Should you have any questions please email secretary@adhdeurope.eu.

There are four different categories of membership with different criteria and benefits:

1. ORGANISATIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Organisational members of ADHD Europe are the only members with voting rights at our Annual General Meeting. These organisations are ADHD Advocacy groups based in Europe. The annual cost of membership is 250€ per year.

Organisations applying for full membership must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a non-profit organisation.
  • Have a board of trustees/directors whose membership is at least 60% people who have ADHD or are the parents, carers, or partners of people with ADHD.
  • The organisation’s main role should be advocacy, support, campaigning for open access, and other services for people affected by ADHD.
  • Provide two supporting letters from either organisational or affiliate members of ADHD Europe.

Admission of new members is subject to the approval of the board, with membership confirmed by ratification at the next Annual General Meeting where applicants shall present their organisation to the General Assembly with a summary of activities.

2. AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP

Affiliate members are non-voting members invited to attend our Annual General Meeting, with an annual membership fee of 150€ per year.

To apply for affiliate membership, you need to meet the following criteria.

Applicants under affiliate membership should be non-profit organisations which:

  • provide services to professionals and patients, managed by professionals;
  • work to support people/families with disability or mental health, whose work includes but is not specific to ADHD.

Applicants under affiliate membership must have least 50% patient representation on your board.

3. PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Professional memberships are non-voting members invited to attend our Annual General Meeting, with an annual membership fees of 45€ per year.

To apply for professional membership, you must:

  • Be an individual who works in the field of ADHD or has an impact on the lives of people with ADHD (e.g. health professionals, educators, social workers, criminal justice workers).
  • Understand that by becoming a member, it is not to sell services within the membership or advertise on ADHD Europe platforms

4. INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

Anyone may apply for individual membership for themselves, with all the benefits specified above. This membership is ideal for adults with ADHD / parents, carers, or partners of people with ADHD and the cost of this member is 25€ per year.

ADHD Europe cannot provide individual support to our members and if you are in need of this support, we strongly suggest that before applying to be a member that you consult or apply for membership with an organisation near you. You can find a member organisation in your country here.
