2025/ 2026 ADHD Europe Activity Report

18 April 2026, ADHD Europe held its Annual General Assembly (AGM) in Athens, Greece bringing together our community in person and online to reflect on the past year, celebrate our achievements and discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead.

After the AGM, Kate Lindley, PhD, and Victoria Palmerston, two of the co-founders of SHARE, ran a workshop for the organizational members after the AGM to explore what it is that people with ADHD want the professionals to know. One of the main requests is for professionals to understand that everyone’s type of ADHD is specific and unique and people with ADHD want to be treated as unique human beings. As professionals are learning about ADHD through their clinical work, it is requested that they ask their questions sensitively, that they do not assume what people’s lived experience is. Please ask about what works, what has been tried and doesn’t work, and show respect for the – very often – long and arduous journey to diagnosis and personal understanding about one’s way of functioning. We are not broken, don’t fix us, they said.

A sincere thank you to all our members who joined us in person/online for the trust, active engagement, and continued involvement in the work of ADHD Europe. We are particularly grateful for the many members who regularly turn to us for support, guidance and connections, reinforcing the importance of ADHD Europe’s work. We would also like to thank everyone for their valuable contribution to the growth and success of ADHD Europe. We also would like to thank our Board members and volunteers for their support throughout the year.
